Island Bay Junior Sailing Camp 2026

Ages 8–15 • Beginner through Advanced
  • ✔ Full-day summer sailing camp
  • ✔ Three two-week sessions + Race Camp
  • ✔ Meets four days a week (club closed Mondays)
  • ✔ Approximately 70% on-the-water instruction
  • ✔ US Sailing–trained staff
  • ✔ All boats and sailing equipment provided
  • ✔ Campers must bring their own U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket

Session 1: June 9 – June 19
Session 2: June 29 – July 10
Session 3: July 14 – July 24
Race Camp: July 28 – August 7
Cost
$475 per session (Half-day option primarily for new sailors under 10)
First-time campers under age 10 are required to enroll in a half-day session for their first session of the season.

Camp is open to kids aged 8 through 15.

Whole Day, 2-Week Sessions are $475 per child.

Scholarships are available to those in need. Apply to the IBYC Foundation Here.

Camp is now a full-day camp. Half-Day Sessions are required for new campers under 10 years old. Camp has three sessions and Race Camp, each running four days a week for two weeks. During each session, students will spend most of their time on the water sailing, playing games, and having fun with friends.

In addition to building sailing skills, campers gain confidence, independence, and teamwork experience in a safe, structured environment. It’s an unforgettable way for kids to disconnect from screens, and enjoy the outdoors all summer long.

There are morning and afternoon sessions available or you may choose to register for both the morning and afternoon. Sailors choosing this option need to bring or buy lunch at the Snack Bar.

Camp does not meet on Monday June 9 or Monday June 16.

Session 2 spans the 4th of July holiday. There will be no class on Friday July 4. There is also no class on July 7.

This session is open to both beginner and intermediate sailors.
