Our Adult Learn to Sail program is a 3-day seminar from August 22–24.

You do not have to own a boat to take part in this seminar.

Whether you're a club member or someone completely new to sailing, you'll learn the basics from experienced sailors in a supportive, fun setting.  Registration is open now.

The course will be approximately 40% classroom time and 60% on-the water Practice.

We will cover the following:

·      Safety

·      Preparedness

·      Launching

·      Steering

·      Sail Trim

·      Tacking and Jibing

·      Upwind Sailing

·      Capsizing

·      Docking

·      Retrieving and Storing Boats

·      Weather

·      Fleets at IBYC

And More! Classes will be conducted by IBYC’s own experienced sailors and US Sailing Certified personnel.

Each evening will culminate with social time and dinner on the patio.
